Design & Partnership Lab

(affectionately the daplab for short)

I direct the daplab which consists of students, postdoctoral scholars, research scientists, and faculty collaborators. The students in daplab either (a) work for me on one of my projects, (b) are independently funded (e.g. through fellowships or outside projects) but are advised by me because we share interests in partnerships, community-based research, or design, or (c) I serve as a general academic advisor/mentor to them in our PhD program, but we do not have. Other members including undergraduate students, faculty collaborators, community partners, postdocs and visiting scholars are welcome to participate in our community as well.

2017-present. Fabio is a PhD student at New York University. He is interested in UX, HCI and design as it intersects with learning analytics, critical pedagogies, and civic learning.

Ha Nguyen

2018-present. Ha is a PhD student in the UCI School of Education. She is interested in designing learning environments with particular expertise in data science, learning analytics, text mining, and algorithmic approaches.

John Szura
